Job overview

The Plumbing Estimator role is an onsite position in Charlotte, NC, with a standard Monday–Friday schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; flexibility may be needed as jobs change. Compensation is not specified. Romanoff Group of Companies serves the new housing construction market through commercial and residential electrical, heating and cooling, and plumbing businesses. The estimator prepares bids and project takeoffs, documents estimating adjustments, and coordinates pricing and project information with vendors, general contractors, and internal teams. The work supports timely, accurate project estimates and handoffs.

What you'll do

• Download and review bid documents
• schedule review meetings
• count equipment and assess installation labor
• create equipment and material lists and installation designs from plans
• coordinate project takeoffs
• request and follow up on vendor quotes
• verify drawing dates, RFIs, and addenda on proposals
• update bid and quote logs
• respond to general contractor and vendor questions
• schedule handoff meetings
• maintain required certification paperwork.
