Registered Nurse — Behavioral Health

The Registered Nurse — Behavioral Health role is onsite in Cambridge, OH, and is full-time. Pay is $34–$40 per hour. The nurse works in the Nursing department under the Director of Nursing at Hickory Behavioral at Cambridge. Hickory Recovery’s stated mission is to provide high-quality acute care to adults with mental health issues or co-occurring disorders. The nurse uses the nursing process to address patients’ medical, safety, and general health needs as part of the treatment team. The role includes assessments, care planning, medication administration and documentation, patient education, and support for LPNs and behavioral health technicians.

What you'll do

• Complete admissions and intake assessments
• manage care plans
• educate patients
• administer and document medications
• assess and document suicide risks
• monitor vital signs and ongoing medical needs
• perform CIWA and COWS, point-of-care screens, glucose monitoring, and COVID-19 testing
• participate in performance improvement
• report safety hazards and medication errors
• assist with oversight of LPNs and behavioral health technicians.
