Adult Small Bowel Transplant Dietitian, onsite, Cabin John MD. Part Time. Salary: $60,632.00 - $107,494.00/Yr. MedStar Health is a leading healthcare system. This role provides comprehensive Medical Nutrition Therapy to inpatients with a variety of medical conditions, including malnutrition assessments, nutrition-focused physical exams, and nutrition support recommendations.

What you'll do

• Consults with and/or makes recommendations to physicians and other allied health professionals regarding patients' nutritional statuses, nutrient needs, or specific diet plans.
• Formulates nutrition assessment, evaluation, and follow-up plans for patients at nutrition risk.
• Recommends and documents patient's nutrition treatment findings and plan in the patients' medical record.
• Participates in clinical rounds and appropriate department/service meetings.
• Consults in/outpatients in diet rationale for self-management.
• Must be flexible to cross-cover and train in all areas including Neonatal ICU and Pediatrics as needed.
• Provides staff relief and cross-coverage as delegated for in/outpatient services.
• Reviews at least one annual review of literature pertinent to area(s) of responsibility and present to peers in Journal Club.
• Performs at least one formal professional presentation in an area of specialty to allied health professionals or the community.
• Attends pertinent meetings to enhance clinical practice.
• Maintains current CDR credentials and DC Licensure.
• Holds current membership to professional organization pertinent to the role.
• Participates in licensing surveys as needed.
• Assumes other duties and responsibilities that are appropriate to the position and area.

What we're looking for

Education

Bachelor's degree in Food & Nutrition Science and completion of an accredited dietetic internship. Master's degree required if completed after Jan 1, 2024.
