The Substance Use Disorder Counselor works onsite in Chippewa Falls, WI, at L.E. Phillips, a 50-bed residential treatment program opening in 2026. Compensation is $22.75 per hour for SAC-IT, $26 per hour for SAC, or $28 per hour for CSAC. Lutheran Social Services’ program provides substance use treatment and restorative justice services for adults.

What you'll do

• Provide individual and group substance use counseling
• complete assessments, screenings, referrals, and treatment plans
• deliver case management and coordinate community support services
• maintain timely clinical documentation
• and support clients’ recovery, stability, and personal goals. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and community partners and participate in clinical supervision, training, and professional development. Requires a Wisconsin SAC-IT, SAC, or CSAC credential and an associate’s degree in a human services or corrections-related field
• a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
