The Paymaster role is onsite in Waimea, HI, with pay of $30–$35 per hour. At Mauna Lani, a resort on Hawaii’s Kohala Coast, the role supports payroll for the hotel and golf operations. The Paymaster processes payroll accurately and on schedule, prepares payroll and labor reports, and helps departments provide required payroll information. The role also supports compliance, employee payroll inquiries, and payroll-related audits and closing activities.

What you'll do

• Process hotel and golf payroll accurately according to payroll-cycle guidelines
• produce and review payroll and labor reports
• monitor payroll processes and assist with procedures supporting compliance with wage and hour laws, labor laws, and collective bargaining agreements
• coordinate with departments to obtain payroll information
• work with Human Resources and research employee payroll inquiries
• prepare month-end and pay-period closing entries and reports
• handle unemployment insurance, bank, employment verification, garnishment, and leave-related payroll matters
• conduct monthly payroll and cashier audits
• participate in management training, leadership meetings, and associate and community relations functions as assigned.

Why this role

Requires an undergraduate degree in accounting or business, or three years of related work experience. Basic accounting and USALI knowledge required.
