Automotive Service Technician – Reconditioning

The Automotive Service Technician – Reconditioning role is an onsite position in Des Moines, IA. Compensation is $27 or more per flag hour, plus a progressive bonus program based on certification and experience. The technician joins Bob Brown Pre-Owned’s reconditioning team. The role prepares used vehicles for service by inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing cars and light trucks across makes and models. It helps ensure repairs are completed correctly and communicates diagnosis, parts, and repair needs with service and parts colleagues.

What you'll do

• Test-drive and inspect used vehicles of all makes and models
• test components and systems using diagnostic tools and service equipment
• diagnose and repair engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brake, and air-conditioning systems
• communicate diagnosis, parts, and repair needs to the Service Advisor and Parts Department
• verify completed repairs.
