Die Chaser-Polisher – Afternoons and Midnights

Job overview

The Die Chaser-Polisher role is onsite in Livonia, MI, with work between plant locations in Garden City and/or Livonia. Pay is $16.00 per hour. The schedule is six days per week, with 8–10-hour shifts; afternoon hours are 3 p.m.–1 a.m. or midnight hours are 11 p.m.–7 a.m., with daytime training from 5 a.m.–3 p.m. Saturdays are required. The role maintains extrusion dies so they are clean, corrected, and ready for production. By polishing, cleaning, assembling, and delivering dies according to schedule, the worker supports productivity and safe manufacturing operations.

What you'll do

• Inspect and polish dies
• assist with die corrections
• load, start, and monitor the nitrider
• deliver dies to presses and return extruded dies for caustic cleaning or storage
• maintain, clean, assemble, and break down tooling
• retrieve and store dies
• follow safety protocols and wear required equipment
• clean the work area at shift end.
