Special Education Teacher

The Special Education Teacher role is onsite in San Pablo, CA, with 40 scheduled weekly hours during the academic year. Compensation is $67,400–$106,000 annually. The teacher delivers Specialized Academic Instruction and adapts instruction for students with IEPs, supporting access to rigorous grade-level curriculum. The role uses student data, individualized goals, and collaboration with general education colleagues to promote measurable academic growth and inclusion.

What you'll do

• Provide push-in and pull-out Specialized Academic Instruction in reading, writing, math, and general academic support
• maintain an inclusive classroom and positive behavior support program
• analyze student and IEP progress data
• write IEPs, goals, and progress reports
• collaborate with general education colleagues.

Why this role

Bachelor’s degree and valid state teaching credential or eligibility to obtain one; California Education Specialist Instruction Credential, CLAD/BCLAD, and three or more years’ special education experience preferred; Spanish fluency is an advantage but not required.
