The Grill Cook – Seasonal role is onsite at Howard Community College in Columbia, MD. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 6:30 a.m.–3 p.m., with summers off. Compensation is $19–$22 per hour. Canteen provides food, service, and workplace dining experiences. The cook prepares and serves food at the grill station according to recipes, production standards, and food-safety requirements. The role supports high-quality service by preparing orders, maintaining food quality and temperature, and keeping work areas and equipment clean and sanitary.

What you'll do

• Take customer orders and prepare short-preparation items
• complete orders from steam tables and serve customers at multiple stations
• follow service standards and ensure food quality and temperature
• use ticket-collection procedures and maintain service records
• follow recipes, portion controls, and production standards
• store food safely
• clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils
• address customer concerns and report relevant information to a supervisor
• attend in-service and safety meetings.
