The Central Ohio Greenways Intern role is onsite in Columbus, OH, with compensation of $18 per hour. The intern works under the Central Ohio Greenways Planning Studio Lead in MORPC’s Planning Department. MORPC brings regional communities together to plan for the future and improve residents’ lives. The intern supports active transportation, trail, greenspace, and sustainability planning through research, data analysis, field work, and coordination with local government members and Greenways partners. The work helps inform regional projects and supports the Central Ohio Greenways program’s planning and outreach.

What you'll do

• Collect, summarize, and analyze data related to active transportation and trails
• assist with meeting and event preparation for the Central Ohio Greenways Advisory Council, Trail Towns of Central Ohio members, and working groups
• maintain the program’s social media and website
• conduct field work, including setting up automated pedestrian and bicycle counters.
