Field Technician – Construction Materials Testing

Job overview

The Field Technician – Construction Materials Testing role is onsite in Lima, OH, with travel to project sites throughout Ohio and pay of $18–$25 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. The role supports construction, transportation, and infrastructure projects by checking materials against project specifications and standards.

What you'll do

• Test concrete during placement, including sampling, slump, air content, temperature, and strength testing
• inspect and test concrete, soil, aggregates, and asphalt
• collect and transport samples
• document results and prepare daily reports
• communicate findings to project personnel
• verify materials and placement methods against plans
• maintain testing equipment
• follow jobsite safety procedures
• and travel to project sites throughout Ohio as needed.
