The Drill Locator role is onsite in Kent, WA. Compensation is not specified. The position supports horizontal directional drilling crews working on underground utility construction. The locator tracks the drill head and communicates its depth, position, and direction to the Drill Operator. By interpreting locating equipment and construction information, identifying existing utilities, and maintaining accurate drill-path records, the role helps the crew carry out drilling work safely and according to project requirements.

What you'll do

• Operate electronic locating equipment
• monitor and communicate drill-head depth, position, and direction
• interpret equipment displays, utility maps, plans, and drawings
• identify existing utilities and obstructions
• assist with bore-path planning and site assessments
• support potholing and daylighting
• maintain locating equipment
• assist with crew setup and cleanup
• and complete daily documentation and locate records.

Why this role
