Electrical Engineer — Building Systems Design (Hybrid)

Job overview

The Electrical Engineer role is hybrid in Boston, MA, with up to two remote days per week. Compensation is $90,000–$120,000 per year. Vanderweil Engineers provides MEP/FP and technology engineering services across sectors including science and technology, mission critical, academic, healthcare, and commercial projects. The engineer designs electrical systems from schematic design through construction, coordinating with internal disciplines and external project partners. The work supports safe, code-compliant building projects through technical design, construction administration, and project coordination.

What you'll do

• Design power distribution, lighting, emergency and standby power systems
• prepare plans, diagrams, schedules, and load calculations
• coordinate with internal teams, architects, contractors, and consultants
• perform short-circuit studies
• conduct field visits, respond to RFIs, and review shop drawings.
