Research and Development Engineering Technician

Job overview

The Research and Development Engineering Technician role is full-time and onsite in Cincinnati, OH; remote and hybrid work are not available. Compensation is not specified. Vein360’s R&D team develops and tests processes for remanufacturing and reprocessing medical devices. The technician provides hands-on support across product development, from prototyping through pilot production. Building, testing, maintaining, and documenting systems helps engineers resolve design and manufacturing issues and advance device restoration processes.

What you'll do

• Provide technical assistance and solutions to engineering challenges
• assemble electromechanical systems to specifications
• set up and operate test equipment
• diagnose, debug, test, upgrade, maintain, and repair devices and test systems
• collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams
• troubleshoot manufacturing concerns with vendors and assembly houses
• document test results and deviations
• analyze test data
• build, calibrate, and maintain equipment
• support lab operations, component ordering, stock management, and calibration tracking
• perform light pilot-production assembly as needed
• support incoming acceptance activities for Quality Assurance.

Why this role

Requires an associate degree in an engineering field or equivalent experience and two or more years of relevant technician experience; familiarity with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, LabVIEW, or MATLAB is preferred.
