Medical Director

Job overview

The Medical Director role is remote for the New York market and requires the physician to reside in New York State; pay is negotiable. The physician provides medical oversight and regulatory guidance to nurse practitioners and physician assistants across New York clinic locations. The role supports compliant clinical operations through protocol oversight, chart review, provider consultation, and collaborative or supervisory agreements.

What you'll do

• Oversee adherence to clinical protocols and evidence-based standards
• maintain required collaborative or supervisory agreements with NPs and PAs
• be generally available by telecommunications during clinic hours
• conduct chart reviews and co-sign charts as required
• ensure compliance with New York medical practice laws, Board of Medicine regulations, and DEA requirements
• maintain active New York DEA registration
• consult with NPs and PAs by phone, video, or messaging.
