Maintenance Technician – HVAC

Job overview

The Maintenance Technician – HVAC role is onsite in Palm Beach, FL, with compensation of $20 per hour. The Henry Morrison Flagler Museum seeks a technician to maintain the building and grounds and support the Museum’s mission. The technician maintains HVAC and climate-control systems, along with other facility systems, to keep the Museum safe, comfortable, and operational. The role also supports event setups, seasonal maintenance, safety checks, and general building upkeep, with occasional on-call or after-hours support for urgent needs.

What you'll do

• Inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC and climate-control systems
• monitor controls and automation
• coordinate specialized vendor service
• maintain service logs and equipment records
• perform general electrical, plumbing, lighting, fixture, and minor structural repairs
• assist with fire, alarm, and security systems
• complete work orders
• support grounds, seasonal upkeep, and event setup and breakdown
• participate in safety inspections and drills
• provide occasional on-call or after-hours support.
