The Principal Signal Integrity Engineer, Pathfinding role is onsite in San Jose, CA. The stated base salary range is $119,000–$320,000 per year. The role supports Micron’s Interface Pathfinding team, which investigates energy-efficient bandwidth solutions for future high-speed interfaces. The role exists to develop and validate signal-integrity analysis and methods that help prepare high-speed memory and die-to-die interface innovations for product adoption. It contributes through interconnect modeling, substrate and packaging evaluation, feasibility analysis, design-rule development, link budgeting, and collaboration with engineering partner teams.

What you'll do

• Generate and validate interconnect models
• assess forward-looking substrate and packaging technologies
• drive signal-integrity feasibility analysis and I/O-channel co-optimization
• develop package and system-level design rules
• define link budgets and simulation-to-silicon correlation methods
• collaborate with signal integrity, circuit and chip design, packaging R&D, and system integration teams
• author analysis reports, modeling methodology documents, and design-rule specifications.
