The Licensed Mental Health Therapist role is onsite in Albany, NY. Compensation is up to $67,630 per year. Hope House provides substance use disorder treatment and works to support recovery and families affected by substance use disorder. The therapist provides assessment, psychotherapy, group facilitation, and case management for clients in a residential substance use disorder program. The role contributes to coordinated care by working with a multidisciplinary team and connecting clients with community providers and supports.

What you'll do

• Manage a caseload of 15–20 clients in a residential substance use disorder program
• facilitate one or two mental health groups at the residence
• assess clients’ mental health needs and provide psychotherapy
• oversee medication self-administration according to policy
• collaborate with the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner on medication management issues
• coordinate consultations and referrals
• provide therapeutic interventions as needed
• provide case management and community linkages
• maintain documentation, confidentiality, boundaries, and ethical standards.
