The Counterintelligence Officer, Analytical and Investigative Support (Level III) role is onsite in Springfield, VA. The stated annual salary range is $88,670–$138,142. The position conducts defensive counterintelligence activities in support of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) mission. The officer identifies and assesses intelligence, terrorism, and espionage threats to NGA and the National System for GEOINT, then supports protective action through analysis, briefings, liaison, investigations, and threat mitigation. The work also contributes counterintelligence expertise to personnel security, special access programs, research and technology protection, and supply-chain risk management.

What you'll do

  • Conduct defensive counterintelligence operations
  • research, gather, evaluate, and interpret all-source information
  • prepare analyses, threat forecasts, reports, alerts, and briefings
  • use advanced analytical tools to assess anomalous activity
  • coordinate information sharing with NGA, DoD, the Intelligence Community, and law enforcement
  • conduct foreign-contact and travel debriefings
  • support personnel security adjudications, Special Access Programs, vulnerability mitigation, research and technology protection, supply-chain risk management, and damage-assessment task forces.

Why this role
