Patient Care Technician — PRN

The Patient Care Technician role is onsite in Olympia Fields, IL. Pay is $17–$27 per hour. The position supports the mission and customer service standards of Home Dialysis Services and Dialysis Care Center. Under RN supervision, the technician provides in-center hemodialysis care and monitors patients and equipment during treatment. The role contributes to safe, accurate dialysis services through treatment setup, observation, documentation, infection prevention, and timely communication of changes to the assigned RN.

What you'll do

• Set up and dismantle dialysis machines and perform chemical disinfection
• monitor machine and water-system function
• take and document patient vital signs
• evaluate vascular access and report unusual findings
• perform cannulation or catheter care as permitted by state law
• collect patient data and samples
• report abnormal findings and emergencies to the RN
• follow safety and infection-prevention measures.
