Ultrasound Technologist (Echo Tech) in Oak Lawn, IL. This is a full-time, onsite position with a salary range of $31.0 - $44.36 per hour. Travel is required up to 40% of the time. This role is responsible for performing diagnostic procedures using ultrasound techniques to generate diagnostic imaging. The technologist will work with patients and medical personnel to provide high-quality healthcare.

What you'll do

• Performs diagnostic procedures applying prescribed and proper methods of ultrasound techniques.
• Generates and produce diagnostic imaging using two-dimensional imaging, spectral and color flow Doppler.
• Selects proper transducer and adjustment of equipment.
• Explains the procedures to patients.
• Keys test data and patient information into computer.
• Generates detailed preliminary reports of findings.
• Communicates STAT findings.
• Consents patients as needed.
• Assists physician with ultrasound guided biopsies.
• Maintains equipment.
• Monitors, records and communicates as appropriate the utilization of computerized documentation systems.
• Utilizes knowledge of age specific needs of patient.
• Influences and create SOPs for Ultrasound best practices.
• Provides a safe environment for administering contrast material.
• Assists with transporting patients.
• Follows standard precautions.
• Travels to different office locations as needed.

What we're looking for

Education

Graduate of an accredited school in Ultrasound Technology required

Experience

A minimum of 6 months of related work experience post internship/externship required
