The Pharmacist – Pediatric Hospital, PRN role is onsite in Conroe, TX; compensation is not specified. The pharmacist supports medication management for pediatric and adolescent patients with complex medical, rehabilitation, and behavioral health needs at Nexus Children’s Hospital – Shenandoah. Under the Director of Pharmacy, this pharmacist supports daily pharmacy operations and clinical services to promote safe, effective medication use. The role reviews and processes medication orders, monitors therapy, counsels families, supports pharmacy compliance and operations, and collaborates with the interdisciplinary care team.

What you'll do

• Review physician orders for accuracy, appropriateness, dosing, interactions, contraindications, and duplication
• evaluate pediatric regimens including weight-based dosing
• process, prepare, and dispense medications
• monitor drug therapy and levels
• support formulary use and clinically appropriate conversions
• educate patients and families
• participate in team conferences
• maintain pharmacy operations and compliance
• support Pyxis operations, reporting, staff education, and performance improvement.

Why this role
