Steel Estimator / Technical Sales

The position translates customer requirements into material take-offs, cost estimates, quotes, and delivery timelines. Working with engineering, production, and shop management, the estimator helps assess project feasibility and costs while supporting customer consultations and sales opportunities.

What you'll do

• Prepare structural steel material take-offs from blueprints, specifications, and layout drawings
• estimate shop labor, welding, and material costs in ERP software
• prepare quotes, proposals, and delivery timelines
• review drawings for constructability, cost efficiency, and safety compliance
• collaborate with engineering, production, and shop management
• advise customers on equipment needs, provide quotes, and follow up on sales opportunities.
