Mailroom Clerk

The Mailroom Clerk role is onsite in Big Spring, TX. Compensation is $23 per hour. The clerk processes and distributes incoming and outgoing mail and packages, including detainee and legal mail, while maintaining required logs and records. Accurate mail handling supports facility departments and the people served by the facility.

What you'll do

• Distribute and collect incoming mail
• process outgoing mail
• determine, affix, and record postage
• inspect and seal outgoing detainee mail and log and inspect packages
• sort, locate, open, inspect, and bundle incoming detainee mail and publications
• distribute inter-office mail
• document and process mail denials
• log and process legal, special, medical, and certified mail
• operate postage and other mailroom machines.
