Job Coach, Supported Employment

Job overview

The Job Coach role is onsite in Albany, NY, with pay of $20–$23 per hour. Higher Ground IHS’s Supported Employment Program helps individuals with developmental disabilities pursue vocational goals. The employment specialist develops job opportunities and provides training, advocacy, and personal support to program participants. The role works with agency staff, local businesses, and community vocational professionals to help clients build independent work skills and progress toward employment goals.

What you'll do

• Develop clients’ independent work skills
• intervene on performance and attendance issues
• communicate with people involved in clients’ cases about attendance, progress, and challenges
• maintain and submit case notes and reports
• build ongoing partnerships with local businesses
• protect confidential client information.
