What you'll do

• Manage direct care staff including performance evaluations, scheduling, orientation, training, and ongoing support
• resolve employee relations issues as needed
• make decisions related to employment. Coordinate the assignment of work of facility staff and evaluate performance. Monitor the health and medical condition of individuals served to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Supervise the administration of proper medications according to established guidelines
• maintain documentation on all medications given. Provide treatment and/or health care procedures as specified in physicians’ orders and/or as determined by the team. Make referrals for appropriate medical services and schedule appointments as needed
• attend medical appointments with individuals served to promote positive outcomes. Assist in the performance of quarterly and annual physicals
• monitor weight gain or loss and update medical records regularly. Maintain contact with families and keep them informed about the individual’s medical condition, nutritional needs, medications, etc. Complete the intake of medication deliveries from the pharmacy by receiving medications and comparing with physicians’ orders and medication administration records. Monitor budgets for assigned areas
• manage activities to ensure financial goals are met. Monitor budget variances and implement corrective action plans as needed.
