Electronics Assembly Technician — Precision Electronics, Soldering & Wiring

Job overview

The Electronics Assembly Technician is an onsite, full-time, first-shift role in Lockport, IL. Pay is $20–$25 per hour, based on experience. The technician joins Vitrek’s production team assembling precision electronic instrumentation and electromechanical systems. The role builds and inspects assemblies to exact specifications, supporting production of measurement and testing equipment. Careful soldering, wiring, documentation review, and adherence to quality and safety procedures contribute to reliable finished products.

What you'll do

• Perform SMT and through-hole soldering, including fine-pitch components and rework
• assemble electronic subassemblies, electromechanical products, and box-build systems
• build, route, terminate, and label wires and harnesses
• interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, drawings, bills of materials, and engineering change orders
• inspect assemblies
• prepare components
• follow quality and safety procedures
• maintain an organized work area
• support production goals and additional assembly activities as needed.
