The Robot Operator/Tender — Second Shift role is onsite in Palmer, MA. Pay is $18.50 per hour. The position supports Palmer Foundry’s production of finished castings and robotic cutting and grinding processes. The operator tends the robotic cell, inspects and finishes castings, and contributes to process improvements and documentation. The work helps maintain product quality and safe, reliable manufacturing operations through equipment care, data collection, and collaboration with the Robot Programmer and Manufacturing Engineer.

What you'll do

• Operate the robotic cell to produce finished castings
• contribute to cell development through basic programming and troubleshooting
• communicate with the Robot Programmer and Manufacturing Engineer
• assist with process documentation
• collect manufacturing data
• set up the cell and inspect parts
• perform routine and preventive maintenance
• load and unload castings and fixtures
• change tooling
• use the teach pendant
• inspect and finish-grind castings.
