The Youth Development Professional – Sports & Recreation role is onsite in Jacksonville, FL, at Jacksonville Heights Elementary. Compensation is $15 per hour. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Florida role supports youth development through sports and recreation programming. The position plans and leads activities that promote physical fitness, positive use of leisure time, and interpersonal skills while helping create a safe, supportive Club experience. It also recruits youth for sports programs, coaches league teams, and monitors program participation and outcomes.

What you'll do

• Plan and implement sports and recreation programs, including Triple Play, Play Ball, RBI, ALL STARS, Jr. RBI, and Play Breaks
• recruit and retain youth participants
• work with Club staff to deliver programs and coach teams in BGCNF sports leagues
• supervise members and maintain a safe program area
• prepare weekly reports and maintain a daily schedule
• maintain program equipment and supplies.
