After-School Child Care Aide — York

The After-School Child Care Aide — York role is onsite in Piffard, NY, Monday–Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.; staff meetings and training are scheduled in advance. Pay is $17–$17.30 per hour. The program serves children ages 4–12 and follows the York Elementary School District calendar through the end of June. The aide supports children’s safety, well-being, and development while helping implement the program curriculum. The role plans and leads activities, maintains communication with families, documents attendance and wellness information, and works with staff to provide a positive experience grounded in YMCA values.

What you'll do

• Implement curriculum and daily activity plans
• supervise children and maintain visual contact
• observe and evaluate children
• communicate with families and conduct family conferences
• maintain program areas, equipment, and records
• attend family nights, meetings, and training
• follow safety and child care policies
• and assist with scheduled camp days and alternate program locations.
