Maintenance Assistant

Job overview

The Maintenance Assistant role is onsite in Dallas, NC, with pay of $20–$25 per hour based on experience. The position supports the plant maintenance team with ongoing projects and daily repair tasks in an industrial environment. The assistant helps technicians maintain and repair production machinery, troubleshoot mechanical issues, and keep equipment and work areas in good condition. This support helps the maintenance team address routine needs and keep production equipment operating.

What you'll do

• Assist maintenance technicians with equipment repairs, preventive maintenance, and general upkeep
• help troubleshoot mechanical issues on production machinery
• perform basic mechanical tasks using hand and power tools, tightening bolts, replacing parts, and cleaning machinery
• maintain an organized work area
• follow safety instructions
• support special projects and facility maintenance as needed.

Why this role

Monday–Friday day shift. Basic mechanical aptitude or hands-on tool or equipment experience is sought; previous maintenance or manufacturing experience is a plus but not required. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
