The Director of Study Operations role is onsite in Atlanta, Georgia, with a Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM schedule. Compensation is not specified. START Center for Cancer Research is an early-phase clinical research site network dedicated to oncology and its mission of “Hope Through Access.” The director leads study operations and oversees clinical research coordination, data coordination, and medical records teams. The role supports compliant, high-quality patient care and study conduct through staff leadership, process improvement, study feasibility and activation, data management, and collaboration across clinic departments.

What you'll do

• Lead Clinical Research Coordinator, Data Coordination, and Medical Records teams
• train staff and support competency
• ensure data management, monitor and auditor communication, GCP compliance, and SOP upkeep
• support study acquisition and activation
• review protocols for operational feasibility
• improve patient-care workflows
• support CTMS and EHR use
• collaborate with department leaders and the Director of Nursing on site operations and strategic projects.

Why this role

Requires a bachelor’s degree, five years of leadership experience in oncology clinical research, CITI GCP training, and knowledge of GCP, GDPR, and US federal clinical research regulations. Intermittent travel, less than quarterly, may be needed for new site activation.
