Guidance Counselor

What you'll do

• Conduct initial counseling sessions
• help students establish career goals and plans for educational and training opportunities
• interpret test results to identify interests and aptitude strengths and weaknesses
• guide group discussions toward effective problem-solving alternatives
• participate in mental health program coordination and behavior modification counseling for identified at-risk students
• participate in staff training
• monitor educational, vocational, and residential training components and advise managers and staff
• follow safety regulations and report unsafe conditions and accidents.
