Lead Water Technician

Job overview

The Lead Water Technician role is onsite in Pittsburgh, PA. Compensation is $26.50 per hour. The position supports water damage mitigation and structural drying projects for residential and commercial properties. The role leads field crews, assesses water damage, develops drying plans, and monitors project progress to help ensure safe, efficient work that follows IICRC standards. It also supports customer communication, project documentation, and the training of junior technicians.

What you'll do

• Lead and supervise mitigation technicians and field crews
• assess water damage and develop drying plans
• perform moisture inspections and monitoring
• set up and adjust drying equipment
• document projects with reports, photographs, sketches, and moisture maps
• track labor, equipment, materials, and progress
• communicate with customers and project stakeholders
• follow PPE and safety procedures
• train junior technicians
• assist with water-loss and remediation projects.

Why this role

Requires 6+ years of water mitigation/restoration experience and current IICRC certifications. WRT is strongly preferred and IICRC ASD is preferred. The role may require travel to job sites and emergency response, including evenings, weekends, and occasional overnight assignments.
