Plant Power Distribution & Automation Technician

The Plant Power Distribution & Automation Technician is an onsite, full-time, first-shift role in York, PA. Compensation is $28–$35 per hour, DOE. The technician supports industrial production operations through power distribution and automation work. The role installs and modifies electrical distribution systems, commissions production equipment, and integrates PLC-controlled systems. Troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and safety and compliance practices help reduce downtime and protect production throughput.

What you'll do

• Install and modify distribution systems including switchgear, transformers, disconnects, motor control centers, and panels
• run feeders and branch circuits
• connect and commission production machinery
• install motors, VFDs, control panels, and enclosures
• integrate PLC-controlled systems and field devices
• diagnose electrical and control issues
• perform testing, verification, and preventive maintenance while following NEC, OSHA, LOTO, and GMP requirements.
