Design Engineer – Electrical Systems

The Design Engineer – Electrical Systems role is onsite at a customer engineering and manufacturing facility in Dubuque, IA. The pay range is $60,000–$80,000 annually. RFA Engineering provides engineering support and expertise to clients, including product development for off-highway equipment. The engineer designs and updates electrical wire harness systems for off-highway equipment, coordinating with manufacturing, quality, electrical, and other design teams. The work supports effective assembly and robust, cost-conscious product designs.

What you'll do

• Manage small harness-change projects
• create and modify designs using Creo Cabling
• work with manufacturing and quality engineers on design improvements
• coordinate changes with design and electrical teams
• consult suppliers on design practices and components
• retrieve part numbers and decisions using PTC Windchill/SAP
• review and approve two-dimensional harness drawings
• participate in cross-functional teams and design reviews.
