The Dental Assistant works onsite in Renton, WA, full time, Monday through Friday. Shifts start between 6:30 and 8:30 a.m. and end between 2:00 and 5:00 p.m., depending on the day. Pay is $27–$28 per hour. The role supports A Kids Place Dentistry for Children, which provides pediatric dental care in a welcoming environment. Working chairside with the dentist, the assistant helps children receive preventive and restorative care and supports parents with oral-health information. The role prepares patients, documents care, assists with procedures and imaging, and helps create a comfortable patient experience.

What you'll do

• Welcome, soothe, seat, and drape patients
• answer parents' questions about oral health, treatment, and hygiene
• collaborate with dental staff
• complete and review chart notes
• perform visual exams and prophylaxis as instructed
• assist with four- to six-handed dentistry and preventive and restorative procedures
• take X-rays and intraoral photos
• apply sealants and fluoride agents
• mix filling compounds
• take dental impressions.

Why this role

Requires current Washington State Dental Assisting Registration and either one or more years of dental assisting experience or completion of a dental assisting program with externship. Experience with children, BLS, and WISHA training are preferred.
