Safety and Security Officer — Part-Time/PRN

The Safety and Security Officer role is onsite in Asheville, NC, supporting Givens Highland Farms and Givens Estates Campus. Compensation is $19.50–$23.50 per hour, plus shift differentials. Givens Communities works to expand the possibilities of aging through communities, services, and outreach. The officer helps protect residents, staff, visitors, and campus operations by controlling access, patrolling, responding to emergencies, investigating and documenting incidents, conducting safety drills, monitoring alarms, and providing resident transportation and light maintenance support.

What you'll do

• Control campus access, patrol grounds, monitor alarms and emergency calls, respond to resident and campus emergencies, assist EMS, investigate and document safety/security incidents, conduct safety drills, secure buildings, ensure visitor sign-in, provide resident transportation, and perform light maintenance tasks.

Why this role

CPR and First Aid certification required or obtainable within 90 days; Emergency Medical Responder certification required after hire. EMT certification and prior security or law enforcement experience preferred.
