The Accounts Receivable Project Staff Accountant role is remote. Compensation is $66,400–$109,600 per year. The position joins the Accounts Receivable Team within the Office of the Chief Financial Officer at the National Laboratory of the Rockies, supporting the laboratory’s energy research and innovation mission. The role supports accounting, federal and commercial billing, financial reporting, reconciliations, and issue resolution. By reviewing project and contract information, preparing invoices, maintaining controls, and resolving discrepancies, the accountant helps ensure accurate financial operations and compliance with applicable accounting and DOE requirements.

What you'll do

• Review customer contracts, funding documents, and cost plans for project setup, billing, and reporting
• set up projects in Oracle
• monitor project costs, advances, receivables, and aging
• prepare invoices and supporting documentation
• perform federal billing in IPAC and G-Invoicing
• coordinate with federal partners and internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies
• reconcile balance-sheet and other accounts
• support project teams and customers on receivables matters
• support month-end close and journal entries
• conduct accounting research and financial analysis
• support financial application testing and migration
• maintain desk procedures and internal controls
• support daily banking activity review.
