The Cook I role is onsite on the Phillips Exeter Academy campus in Exeter, NH. It pays $21–$22.75 per hour and is part-time, with nights and weekends integral to the schedule. The cook helps ensure consistent, timely food production and service by following menus and recipes, maintaining food safety and sanitation, and working with other cooks to keep meal items available. This work supports the Academy’s residential dining service for students.

What you'll do

• Work with other cooks to produce food of appropriate quality and quantity
• follow menus, recipes, and standardized worksheets
• prepare and serve food in accordance with HACCP standards
• maintain portion control and batch cooking
• help maintain menu item supplies during meal periods
• sanitize work areas and kitchen equipment
• work in the dish room, kitchen, or dining room as assigned.

Why this role

High school diploma or GED required; ServSafe certification required or must be obtained within 60 days of hire. One year of relevant experience or culinary school/program experience is required.
