The Counselor I, Integrated Substance Use Disorder Treatment role is onsite in Calipatria, CA, at a state prison. Pay is $28 per hour. This counselor delivers face-to-face rehabilitative services by facilitating evidence-based classes and individual sessions, documenting participant progress, and reinforcing program expectations. The work contributes to participants’ treatment and release-prevention planning.

What you'll do

• Facilitate CBI classes using standardized, evidence-based curriculum
• conduct individual sessions and support release-prevention/action plans or make-up work
• evaluate and document participant progress in ARMS
• engage participants and reinforce group norms
• collaborate with CDCR/CCHCS headquarters, the institution, and contracted staff.
