The Classroom Partner (Substitute) role is onsite in Decatur, AL, with compensation of $15.48 per hour. The position supports the Community Action Partnership of North Alabama’s early education and child development services. The substitute provides classroom coverage when a teacher or teacher assistant is absent and works alongside classroom staff. The role helps maintain nurturing, developmentally appropriate learning and care that supports children’s school readiness and social, emotional, and cognitive growth.

What you'll do

• Provide classroom support during teacher or teacher assistant absences
• implement applicable Head Start standards, early learning frameworks, licensing standards, agency procedures, and curriculum
• communicate with parents when needed
• submit required paperwork
• assist with other center duties when classroom coverage is not needed
• individualize support to children’s needs and interests.
