Recreational Therapist

Job overview

The Recreational Therapist role is community-based in Tyler, TX, with services delivered in clients’ homes and community settings and through telehealth when appropriate. Compensation is $45 per hour. Caliber Therapies’ multidisciplinary team provides person-centered services intended to improve quality of life for individuals of all abilities. The therapist assesses clients and develops individualized interventions to support independence, community participation, and overall well-being. The role coordinates care with caregivers, case managers, and interdisciplinary colleagues while documenting services and adapting interventions to each client’s strengths, interests, abilities, and goals.

What you'll do

• Complete comprehensive assessments and develop goal-oriented treatment plans
• provide one-on-one recreational therapy in homes, community settings, and telehealth when appropriate
• design and facilitate evidence-based interventions
• promote community integration, independence, self-advocacy, and meaningful participation
• collaborate with caregivers, case managers, and interdisciplinary team members
• complete timely documentation
• maintain professional, ethical, and clinical standards.
