Strategic IT Project Manager — Enterprise Case Management Modernization

The Strategic IT Project Manager — Enterprise Case Management Modernization role is hybrid in Denver, CO, with in-office attendance once a week, ideally Tuesdays. Pay is $55–$75 per hour. The project will replace a legacy probation case management system and modernize probation operations statewide. The project manager leads the system replacement lifecycle, coordinating governance, vendors, policy requirements, stakeholders, data migration, training, and rollout. The work aims to preserve partner-agency data exchanges, reduce officers’ data-entry burden, and support clearer, more consistent supervision for justice-involved individuals.

What you'll do

• Lead the project lifecycle from requirements and procurement through design, build, data migration, testing, statewide rollout, and legacy-system decommissioning
• maintain schedule, budget, scope, and benefits plan
• coordinate vendors and procurement
• incorporate statutes and probation standards
• engage justice-system stakeholders
• lead user-centered design, change management, training, and go-live support
• track risks and issues
• plan cutover to avoid interruption
• report status and outcomes.
