Processing Specialist — Food Quality and Safety

Job overview

The Processing Specialist role is onsite in Manteno, IL. Salary is $75,000 per year. The specialist supports consistent product processing and compliance by maintaining quality documentation, reviewing procedures and specifications, and coordinating quality and food-safety work across plant locations. The role helps prevent and resolve issues affecting product quality, food safety, customers, and regulatory compliance.

What you'll do

• Maintain customer portals and review supplier documents
• manage non-conformance and complaint disposition
• maintain the Quality Manual and SOPs
• review Safety Chain records
• develop mixing instructions and verify procedures
• support initial production runs for new products
• prepare rework orders
• verify new-product checklists, labels, and specifications
• conduct HACCP analyses and risk assessments
• coordinate with customers and quality and R&D teams
• evaluate suppliers, raw materials, and product deviations
• participate in continuous improvement.
