What you'll do

• Assist with bathing, oral hygiene, dressing, toileting, feeding, and other personal care according to the plan of care
• take and record vital signs when ordered and competency requirements are met
• assist with transfers, ambulation, exercises, and ordered simple procedures when qualified
• do patient laundry
• use equipment safely
• teach home safety practices
• recognize emergencies and follow emergency procedures
• complete assigned care tasks
• communicate with clients, families, caregivers, and the office
• document patient condition and report changes to the nurse supervisor.
