The Automotive Service Technician – Kia Veterans Apprenticeship role is an onsite, full-time opportunity with a participating Kia retailer in Vestal, NY. Pay is $20 or more per hour. The Kia Veterans Technician Apprenticeship Program is designed to help eligible veterans pursue Kia service technician certification. The technician diagnoses, maintains, and repairs Kia vehicles while completing repair and warranty documentation and communicating with service staff. The apprenticeship provides a competency-based training path toward certification and supports timely, effective vehicle service.

What you'll do

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair Kia vehicle systems, including engine, transmission, steering, suspension, brakes, HVAC, and electrical components
• complete repair and warranty orders according to retailer policies
• test-drive vehicles and use Kia diagnostic strategies, equipment, and tools
• perform services and repairs promptly
• communicate with the shop foreman and service advisor.
