The Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician – Part-Time role is onsite in San Jose, CA, with compensation of $27–$56 per hour. The position supports Veterinary Emergency Group’s 24/7 emergency veterinary hospitals and its mission to help people and pets when they need care. The technician provides emergency and critical-care nursing in collaboration with veterinarians and the hospital team. The role contributes to patient treatment and monitoring while supporting pet parents through urgent and stressful situations.

What you'll do

• Participate in triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical-care nursing
• provide nursing care, treatments, and emotional support from triage through discharge
• administer medications and support monitoring, IVs, CRIs, and blood transfusions
• assist with CPR, diagnostics, imaging, sample collection, and tube placement
• support anesthesia and advanced techniques such as central lines, endoscopy, and ultrasounds
• communicate with teammates and help keep care moving
• support patients and pet parents through tests and treatments.
