What you'll do

• Proficiently performs detailed clerical work providing a variety of advanced administrative support for the Clerk of Circuit Court utilizing strong organizational and time management skills.
• Use of Circuit Case Management System and other applicable software to scan, enter, and retrieve pertinent case information.
• Scan and index records with keen accuracy.
• Issue services of process.
• Manage case dockets.
• Assist customers in research of public records.
• Reconcile daily collections.
• May prepare court orders and case documents as needed according to Supreme Court of Virginia guidelines and state requirements.
• May appear in courtroom for case hearings or trials.
• Ensures court’s instructions are properly executed.
• A high level of accuracy and confidentiality is required.
• May perform additional duties as assigned by management.

What we're looking for

Education

associate degree in the legal or business field or any equivalent combination of office experience and training

Experience

Prior legal or court experience preferred.
