This cross-functional role supports both front-office operations and back-office clinical care to help the clinic run smoothly and provide a positive patient experience. The assistant prepares patients for visits, supports providers within scope, coordinates follow-up tasks, and maintains accurate records and an organized reception area.

What you'll do

• Room patients, obtain vital signs, update medical histories, and prepare patients for provider visits
• assist providers during examinations and treatments within scope
• perform delegated procedures such as injections, phlebotomy, and specimen collection as permitted by state regulations
• coordinate lab testing, refills, referrals, and follow-up care
• maintain exam room cleanliness and supplies
• manage appointments, calls, check-in and check-out, insurance verification, payments, EMR documentation, and patient records.
